The Pythagorean Theorem

In mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem (in American English) or Pythagoras' theorem (in British English) is a relation in Euclidean geometry among the three sides of a right triangle (right-angled triangle in British English). It states:
In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares whose sides are the two legs (the two sides that meet at a right angle).
The theorem can be written as an equation:
where c represents the length of the hypotenuse, and a and b represent the lengths of the other two sides.
The Pythagorean theorem is named after the Greek mathematician Pythagoras, who by tradition is credited with its discovery and proof,[1] although it is often argued that knowledge of the theory predates him. (There is much evidence that Babylonian mathematicians understood the principle, if not the mathematical significance.)
If we let c be the length of the hypotenuse and a and b be the lengths of the other two sides, the theorem can be expressed as the equation:
or, solved for c:
If c is already given, and the length of one of the legs must be found, the following equations (which are corollaries of the first) can be used:
or
This equation provides a simple relation among the three sides of a right triangle so that if the lengths of any two sides are known, the length of the third side can be found. A generalization of this theorem is the law of cosines, which allows the computation of the length of the third side of any triangle, given the lengths of two sides and the size of the angle between them. If the angle between the sides is a right angle it reduces to the Pythagorean theorem.

I think that DOWN THESE MEAN STREETS and FIST STICK KNIFE GUN are similar beacuse both authors grew up in violence and poverty. There is also the absence of their father both emotionally and physically.

Now that I know the difference between an autobio and a memoir I would rather read a memoir. I would rather read a memoir because to me it is more interesting and less boring than a autobio. A memoir is a reording in a persons life wit reflection on their impact. Memoirs only focus on one point and it doesnt really tell about everysingle thing in someones life unlike an autobio. An autobio tell a whole life story and can somtimes be very long and boring.
I think the quote above means that when you speak you must speak proper and loud enough to be heard by everyone. If you dont speak loud enough it is almost the same as being silent. So if you are not goin to speak properly you shouldnt speak at all.
I think that the quote above means that listening and hearing are two different things. Listening is a mental process involving paying attention to and make sence of what is being heard. Hearing is a physiological process that involves the vibration of sound waves on the eardrums.I agree with this quote because whun people hear they dont take in any information. But when you listen you pay attention to and make sence of what is being heard.

My first thought when watching the "This Is It" clip was that Michael Jackson was very creative and that he was very talented. i think that Michael Jackson is a very phenomenal person. Many other artists are inspired by Michael Jacksons music, talent, and dance moves. For example Chris Brown, Ne-Yo and many other artists, but there will be no one that can top like Michael Jackson.

There were other president who won the prize. They were Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Jimmy Carter.Teddy Roosevelt won the prize in 1905 for helping end the Russo-Japanese war.Woodrow Wilson won the prize in 1919 after pushing to join the League Of Nations. Jimmy Carter won the prize in 2002 for humanitarian efforts.
